who says that "Pu la is no more?", Everytime when we observe around us with our open eyes we meet Narayan, Haritatya, Lakhu Risbud, Nanda Pradhan, Sakharam Gatne and Chitle Master (The life long characters) , the characters which were created by Pu La.
It is because Mr. Pu la is still alive, he exists in our heart, he exists in our memory, and more than that he exists in our life. |

i really lovrd this site.i had never personally met Pu.La; but after visiting to this site i felt as if that i not only know him but he is really a great personality. we maharashtrians should really feel proud and honoured that we had such a personality with us..i was a great fan of Pu.La, but never got an oppotunity to meet him;and i always felt that i had missed something; but after visiting this site i think that whatsoever in a way i really met Pu.La today

What can I comment on a personality that was loved so widely and unequivocally? Like every other maharashtrian person I too own some cassettes of Pu La. There has not been a single time that the jokes have not brought chuckle to my face. Whenever I am depressed, I hear him. Characters like Chitale Master reminds me of my grand father.
One of my friend had an interesting comment on the way Pu La cracked jokes ........ he always told jokes as if he was falling down. If this statement was viewed in reference to "Atre used to crack jokes as if the people are falling down", you will come to kow what I mean. |
